Privacy Policy - Shree Hanumanji

In short: Shree Hanumanji has no account or login, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking of its own. We do not collect, receive or sell your personal data.

This policy applies to the Shree Hanumanji Android app (package org.shreehanumanjiapp.app) and to this website, operated by Gree Web Solutions (shree-hanumanji.greewebsolutions.com).

1. Information we do not collect

The app does not ask for your name, email, phone number, location or contacts. It has no sign-up, contains no advertising SDK and sends no analytics or crash data to us.

2. What is stored on your device

To work offline, the app keeps the following only on your phone:

your chosen language and theme, and reader settings such as font size;
your favourites and bookmarks, and your Chalisa reading progress;
your prayer reminders;
your chosen Rashi and city for the daily Muhurat and Rashifal.

This data never leaves your device through the app. If Android backup is switched on, Android may include these app settings in your own Google backup; that is controlled by your device settings.

3. Notifications and reminders

If you allow notifications, the app shows prayer reminders at the times you choose. It uses the device alarm, and a boot or app-update signal only to bring your reminders back after a restart or update. Nothing is sent to any server.

4. Wallpapers, saving and sharing

The app sets a wallpaper or saves an image to your gallery only when you ask it to. Images, verses and the app link are shared only when you tap Share and choose a target. Sharing to WhatsApp, Instagram, Snapchat or any other app happens through that app on your phone and is covered by that app's own privacy policy.

5. Live Darshan (YouTube)

The Live Darshan screen and the Home preview load the official YouTube embedded player. That player is operated by Google/YouTube, not by us. When it loads, YouTube may set cookies or similar identifiers and receives technical information such as your IP address and device details, under the Google Privacy Policy and the YouTube Terms of Service. The app starts this only when you open Darshan or tap play. The stream belongs to its owner; this app is not affiliated with any temple.

6. Device permissions

Internet / network state: only for Live Darshan.
Notifications, alarms, boot completed: to deliver and restore your prayer reminders.
Set wallpaper: to apply a wallpaper you choose.
Vibrate, wake lock, foreground service (media playback): for reminders and audio playback with notification controls.
Storage (Android 9 and below only): to save an image you choose to your gallery.

7. Contacting support

The Contact screen only opens your own phone, messaging, WhatsApp or email app with a pre-filled message. The app itself sends nothing; what you send is handled by the app you choose. If you email us, we use your message and address only to reply to you.

8. Children

The app is for a general audience. It does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children.

9. Deleting your data

All app data is on your device. Remove it at any time from Android Settings → Apps → Shree Hanumanji → Storage → Clear data, or by uninstalling the app.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new date.
